Bill Condon to direct 4th "Twilight" movie

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) – Confirming recent speculation, Summit Entertainment announced Wednesday that "Dreamgirls" writer-director Bill Condon will direct the final film in the "Twilight" series, "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn."

No decision has yet been made as to whether the long final book will be divided into two movies or whether one (or both) will be filmed in 3D.

Regardless, as with the previous three films, Melissa Rosenberg is adapting the Stephenie Meyer novel, while Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner will return to star.

"I'm very excited to get the chance to bring the climax of this saga to life onscreen," said Condon. "As fans of the series know, this is a one-of-a-kind book -- and we're hoping to create an equally unique cinematic experience."

The film franchise, which unfolds as a youthful romantic saga involving humans, werewolves and vampires, has already generated more than $1 billion in worldwide grosses. The third film, "Eclipse," directed by David Slade, will hit theaters June 30.

"Bringing Stephenie Meyer's 'Breaking Dawn' to the screen requires a graceful and intelligent hand, and we believe Bill Condon is exactly the right steward, having shown equal and abundant talents of immense creativity and subtle sensitivity," Summit production president Erik Feig said.

Condon wrote and directed "Kinsey" and wrote the adapted screenplay for "Chicago." He won an Oscar for adapting the screenplay for "Gods and Monsters," which he also directed.

Condon recently directed the pilot episode for the Showtime series "The Big C" and produced the Hugh Jackman-hosted Academy Awards telecast in 2009.

The Ring's Samara to Come at You in 3D

According to the Heat Vision

Heat Vision reports that Paramount Pictures is developing a third installment "The Ring" franchise to be titled Ring 3D.

The new film will be written by David Loucka, who wrote the upcoming Dream House and House at the End of the Street.

Walter Parkes and Laurie MacDonald are in negotiations to return as producers, and Vertigo and Benderspink are executive producing.

The first installment, directed by Gore Verbinski (the "Pirates of the Caribbean" films) and starring Naomi Watts, earned an impressive $249.3 million worldwide in 2002. Watts reprised her role in director Hideo Nakata's The Ring Two, which made $161.5 million in 2005.

According to the trade, "the new film is being fashioned as more teen-centric than the first, and though the logline is being kept under wraps, the aim is to reinvent the franchise."

The Bunny Game

I just read the news about Extreme Psychological Terror in 'The Bunny Game'?! on the website "http://www.bloody-disgusting.com" by MrDisgusting

According to the Bloody Disgusting,
Bloody Disgusting stumbled (more like tripped) over a teaser and trailer for a new black and white indie flick that has me mesmerized. Directed by indie filmmaker Adam Rehmeier from a screenplay by Rodleen Getsic and Rehmeier, The Bunny Game follows a prostitute (Rodleen Getsic) looking for her next meal who hitches a ride with a trucker (Jeff Renfro) that leaves her praying for her next breath. The trailers are gritty, mean and show some teeth. I'm quite curious to see the final product as this could go in any direction. Watch for more as it's revealed. What do you guys think of the two different trailers? The imagery definitely struck a nerve with me.
